State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak has said that every year since 2009, a worker in Singra has been turned into an owner. "We do not end our responsibility with big words," he said. By taking various humanitarian initiatives, we are turning the safe, advanced-modern Singra of Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina into an aesthetic-humane Singra. The state minister was speaking as the chief guest at the Eid-ul-Fitr greeting ceremony of distributing gifts among the disabled children and teenagers of Singra Municipal area on Sunday. Palak said, Eid cannot be a meaningful mean of joy, until the joy is nor shared with all. That is why we co-operate equally among rich or poor, able or disable as much we can. Not just four lane roads; But if a disabled child does not get Eid clothes; If food is not provided then our development will not be meaningful. That's why we try to keep track of every family. He further said that Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has pulled the disabled people in her bosom with her mother's compassion. Prime Minister's daughter Saima Wazed Putul has been working for the establishment of fair rights, employment and education for persons with disabilities around the world. Under the guidance of Joy Bhai, projects have been taken up in the high-tech parks of the country to make the disabled self-employed and functional through training. Braille technology and technological solutions have been developed for reading. We are undertaking projects to train and enable the disabled in all the high-tech parks so that no one feels the burden of the disabled. Upazila Nirbahi Officer MM Samiul Islam, Singra Handicapped School Headmistress Begum Anjuman Ara, Singra Press Club President Imran Ali Rana and others were present in the ceremony, while the Singra Municipal Mayor Jannatul Ferdous presided over the meet. On the occasion, State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak distributed Eid items and new clothes and food items among 100 disabled and 75 street children of the municipal area on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr from private funds organized by Singra Municipality.
